Deciding who plays who in Cup play.
In almost every case the playoff draft positions are determined randomly. The exception to this rule is U14-U18 Metro where the top 4 teams are seeded and spread across the first round to ensure that they are not eliminated in the first round of play. The remaining positions are decided by the use of number balls, usually of the Ping Pong variety.
In North District the other exception is for groups where all North District teams are in the same league schedule and the top two teams can be seeded. Each of the top two teams are placed on opposite legs of the draw.
For all other playoff draws, numbered ping pong balls are used to decide playoff position.
